iHeir-BJ Textile Antimold Agent is a non-releasing antibacterial agent with unique bonding, which can be permanently bonded in the product to form antibacterial layer on the surface. When bacteria and fungi are in contact with the surface of the product, antibacterial layer on the surface can attract bacteria, and pierce its cell membrane, which will quickly destroy bacteria. The microbial protection treatment technology was first registered by the EPA and approved for use in a wide variety of products in people’s daily lives, such as socks, underwear, shirts, carpets, and so on. This antimicrobial/antibacterial treatment technology has been successfully confirmed to be applied in the medical supplies for surgical trauma effectively. In this aspect, security and the prevention of bacterial infections should be paid attention most.

TWO Using Method
1. Using iHeir-BJ to treat (deal with) the material
Figuring the pressure absorption of the fabric(WWPU):
A)Weigh the material’s dry weight
B) Make the material absorb the water
C) Pass the material through the clamping wheel of the set pressure
D) Weigh the material’s wet weight
E) Figure out absorbing rate of the material’s wet weight (% wwpu)

Treating materials:
A) Make the material absorb the solution containing iHeir-BJ in the treatment tank
B) Pass through the clamping wheel with predetermined pressure
C) Dry the material
2. Processing should be done by drying and cleaning processing sample cloth. The most appropriate ratio for using the product is 2-3%, and the matrix calculation standard should be the weight of the dry cloth, so the 3 kg textile antibacterial agent can handle 100 kg fabrics.
3. When adding iHeir-BJ into the fabric by using general positive suction immersion method, it has no influence when adding and using cationic or non-ionic (most of the softening agents) on the bath at the same time, because iHeir-BJ has the property of cation. If you want to add anion agents, it should be separately used with iHeir-BJ, and add other processing reagent after using iHeir-BJ alone.
4. The processing bath temperature should be lower than 48 ℃, and the PH level should be about 6. Do not use hard water (Hard water contains high number of salt of CaCO3 and other salts). However, as for the setting of a type of operating conditions, it is more objective to illustrate within a range, so the operating temperature range of the bath should be 21℃ to 50℃, and pH value should be 4.5 to 8.5. The accuracy of the processing bath’s dispensing apparatus and the dirt in the bath may influence iHeir-BJ’s using effects.
5. Based on the interference when using iHeir-BJ caused by preventing anionic compounds, wash the fiber clean when dealing with iHeir-BJ, or do pre-mixing between iHeir-BJ and 9-13 kg of water at the ratio, and add the reagent into the bath in batches, so as to achieve the effects of fully mixing and the best dispersion effect of the determining agent. Once the potion is completely added to the processing bath, and the sample cloth is soaked in the bath for more than 6 minutes in the manufacturing process , the potion can be absorbed. This means the importance of diluting iHeir-BJ. If the potion is gradually added in batches and complete the adsorption function of iHeir-BJ, it could be a great help.
THREE Examples
A. General processing of antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-mite cloth: Just dilute iHeir-BJ with purified water, and add into shape slot. EX: To handle 100 kg cloth (o.w.f. 2-3% iHeir-BJ), the absorption rate should be calculated for 70%. Prepare 70 kg aqueous solution. Methods: (1) Prepare with 67 kg of pure water whose PH is 4-6. (2) Add 2-3KG iHeir-BJ.
B. Adding iHeir-BJ for moisture absorption & perspiration: Because iHeir-BJ contains Si, it can reduce moisture absorbing functions, so in terms of configuration, add cation or hydrophilc agent containing Si. EX: To handle 100 kg cloth (o.w.f. 2-3% iHeir-BJ), the absorption rate should be calculated for 70%. Prepare 70 kg aqueous solution. Methods: (1) Prepare with 67 kg of pure water whose PH is 4-6. (2) Add 0.1% or 70 g cationic hydrophilc agent. (3) Add 2.93 KG iHeir-BJ.
FOUR Influencing Factors and Attention:
1. Ingredients of the processing slot should withstand the temperature of 21 ~ 50 ℃, the pH value of 4.5 ~ 6.0, and the SLA concentration of 0.01% ~ 1.0%. Residual anions are combined with cationic antimicrobial agents, so the antimicrobial agent’s response on the material will be suppressed.
2. The surface of the handling products must be clean, because oil, resin or dirt will affect adhesion, durability, and performance of the antibacterial agent.
3. The water that is used in the treatment tank should use “soft water” containing a minimum concentration of salt. The quality of the water changes often, so it is necessary to check its suitability in a seasonal way.
4. Because iHeir-BJ belongs to cationic, if processing with softening agent or other additives, you must consider the intermiscibility and ionic, and softening agent or other additives shall have miscibility with iHeir-BJ. For softeners or other additives series, you must choose non-ionic or cationic ones. If softeners or other additives have no miscibility with iHeir-BJ and belong to the anion series, the process shall be done twice, namely, processing iHeir-BJ first, and then processing softening agent and other additives.
5. When dealing with nylon fabric (Nylon dyeing uses acid dye), use cation with level 4 of the ammonium salt to neutralize residual anion, and then do finish cleaning.
FIVE Attention:
1. iHeir-BJ have a certain time of effectiveness, so it’s better to use up the mixed solution in use as soon as possible, in order to ensure the treatment effects of iHeir-BJ.
2. Standard chemical protective equipment (e.g., corrosion resistant gloves and safety glasses) must be worn when mixing. Read the material safety data sheet (MSDS) about iHeir-BJ before use, and make the right protective measures to ensure the safety of the user.
3. For the remaining solution of continuous production, use neutralization, dilution, soil burying, and other methods, which accord with environmental protection laws and regulations, to process, or use the Dedocyl – benzyl Sulfate neutralizing water. You can also use anionic soapy water for direct neutralization.
4. The continuous antifungal duration of the cloth, whose adding rate is 2% o.w.f., can be more than a year, while the continuous antifungal duration of the cloth, whose adding rate is 3% o.w.f., can be 2 to 3 years or more.
